making a mockery of v-logging

I'm still learning how to look at the camera, and I don't know what to do about the effed up contrast. And it also took forever to upload so it's a day late. And I'm pretty boring in my delivery. Otherwise, enjoy :D

  1. Aw I feel like I'm sitting in the room right there with you.
Lovely Bones IS a great book. I read it in seventh grade and then again in ninth grade. You will cry as I did!
I don't have any "cool shirts" to give to you for your trip. I'm getting rid of a lot of stuff before I go away to college, but I'm basically giving away old shirts. I do, however, have a cute green jacket that I'm willing to give. Let me know : )

  2. Vix,
My Volleyball team made charms for the Guam and Japanese teams they played against. It would give you something to do in your down time (while trying to sleep or just people watching) and its cheap. And PS... if you're Backpacking, I'd advise you to get some good shoes, or really good insole, and lots and lots of dry socks. Also, all those books might be dead weight. You won't read all of them on a flight and if you're going to take in the surroundings you will be experiencing like you want to, or meeting locals and trying to experience the local lifestyles, you won't have time to read everything. Pick up all the books at once and imagine them all being on your back with all your clothes, shoes, and something to keep warm for all 5 weeks. If you take them you might be giving those books away for gifts. also take toilet paper in a plastic zip lock, and socks socks socks... the thicker padded ones. And I think its still Typhoon season, so you may want to take wet weather gear. YOU'RE WELCOME! haha... stay safe!

  3. bobby, you're great, thanks for the suggestions. we're going to be pretty stationary (at least i will be), which is why i'm bringing so many books. since i'm a chaperone, i'm going to go on some of the tours, but not all of them. so i'll have a lot of down time. not to mention that i have almost two days of travel time both ways, -__- also, good look on the socks emphasis!

  4. You are so funny. Like creatively, spontaneously, musically, instinctively funny.
I'm glad you're going somewhere where your sense of humor will be fully appreciated. Ohh, you're going to THAT Cambodia. Yeah, books are a good idea.
I'm really looking forward to your continued blogging as I've wanted to make SE Asia my first extra-american trip for years. In the meantime, be safe. You'll be back with a lifetime of new life experience in no time at all.

  5. Vickie it's beautiful that you have reached so far out to touch the people of this world. You are an educator through and through and my hope is that you end up a professor at a university where you can really impress upon those students the difference between reading about people and sharing an actual slice of life with them. How fullfilling!

P.S. Bring me back some stuff!!
